Winter is certainly staking its claim early this year!
The joy of the season is cooler weather in the day and more opportunity to exercise with our fur babies in the daylight hours, if you can dodge the rain. I am sure most of you regular rehabbers know that I love the 22nd of June and the promise of longer daylight hours that it brings.
Although we still have a few cold, wet and cloudy days to get through before we really start to notice the difference.

Have your fur babies been slower to get out of bed lately? Although the cooler mornings can be nice, winter is one of the seasons we associate with arthritis.
Cold drafts find their way into the house, and now that we are in winter woollies with the heating cranked up, it is easy to forget that heating the air more can bring in the cold drafts faster, especially at floor level, so our pets "ground floor" bedding needs checked for warmth. Raised beds need a quick assessment to see if the cooler air underneath is making the inside of the bed colder.
